8ta Ministry of Sound NYE FestivalSouth Africa’s newest mobile provider, 8.ta has partnered with the biggest name in the international club scene to bring you the party of the year, which promises to be a perfect combination of talent, entertainment and raw energy.

The 8.ta/Ministry of Sound New Year’s Eve Music Festival will be held at the Cape Town International Convention Centre and features four arenas and local and international artists, including top act Chicane, as well as Abomination, Skazi, Ray Foxx and Kissy Sell Out.

“Renowned for its DJ’s and world class sound, Ministry of Sound has for years been a premier youth platform to follow and we are proud to be associated with the brand.
“Last month we had two massively successful parties in Johannesburg and Cape Town respectively, which saw party revellers from all cultures and races dance as one under one roof. The New Years Eve party will definitely be the same, if not better,” says Stephen Blewett, Executive: Marketing at 8.ta.

Ministry of Sound promoter, Lloyd Cornwall says never before has the Ministry of Sound brought together so many genres of house music together in one venue.
“The main 8.ta Ministry of Sound outdoor arena will see the legendary superstars Chicane bring in the New Year with a bang, and bang is an understatement. Internationally acclaimed and renowned worldwide, these Platinum-selling dance heavyweights are veterans to the dance scene and will be doing a very exclusive live performance on the night. Chicane has headlined the world’s biggest festivals and has something extra special lined up for Cape Town,” says Cornwall.

Also on the centre stage will be Ray Foxx after a massive season in Ibiza with his global hit, La Musica. The trance arena will feature Skazi and Abomination from Israel whom are masters of the infectious psy trance sound, whilst Kissy Sell Out, widely acknowledged as the best electro DJ in the world will headline the electro arena.

“Dance floors will pulsate all night long, and 10 000 revellers will see for themselves just why Ministry of Sound is the number one name in global club culture, utilising thundering sound and spectacular lighting effects, the scene is set, 8ta and Ministry of Sound are about to make history yet again when we rock the Mother City to its foundations,” adds Cornwall.
